Exploring the Arts, Connecting with the Curriculum
Imagine your students meeting Johnnie Appleseed or Thomas Jefferson “in person” as a professional actor comes in character to the classroom. Hear the sounds of students playing together in a steel drum band. Watch how a professional poet can transform even the most reluctant writers into budding wordsmiths. Picture the pride of students as they see their completed clay tile mural permanently installed in their school.

Young Audiences workshops and residencies allow students to work closely with an artist in an interactive, hands-on environment.

Workshops
A workshop for one class-sized group of students lasts 45 to 60 minutes with a maximum of five workshops per day.

Residencies
A residency is a series of three or more days with an artist, allowing for more in-depth work. Residency content is often customized based on curriculum needs and each residency includes a planning meeting with the artist. Residencies can span weeks, months or an entire school year to meet your budget and curriculum needs.
