| Fill your classroom with the sounds of brass. During this workshop a member of the quintet shares his artistry and demonstrates the capabilities and characteristics of the brass instrument family by playing diverse musical selections, including requests! Class discussions illuminate how a musician thinks in music and the mechanics of sound. |

Established in 1975, Metropolitan Brass includes five members who have all performed with the Cleveland Orchestra and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. A Cleveland-based brass ensemble, the Quintet has performed recitals in Ohio and other regions of the United States. Active as educators, members of Metropolitan Brass also lead master classes and clinics. The Quintet has been with Young Audiences for over twenty years..
