| With his keyboard, microphone and computer, musician Dave Young engages students of all ages in composing and creating music. Students have so much fun making music that they don't even realize they're also engaged in a literacy-learning activity. By working cooperatively, students create a personalized poem and set it to their own music. The final product may be made onto a CD to take home! All out of school time programs are $125 per hour. |

Dave Young is a professional keyboardist, composer, performer, and recording artist. He found his passion for music early in life, and received his formal training at the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music and the Bowling Green School of Music, as well as self-explorations in to one of his specialties, music and technology. As a composer, arranger, and producer, his music is heard on TV, radio, film, and video games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, and Spiderman, to name a few. He works with the Cleveland Orchestra in the specialized field of electronic keyboards, and has worked with Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Patrick Moraz, formerly of the Moody Blues, Eric Carmen, Warren Zevon., and many other recording artists.
