| There are 6 billion people in the world and they live lives that are in many ways just like yours. Visual artist Carol Lynn Mitchell brings children a FUN, inquisitive way to look at world culture and geography. Learn about a particular country through arts, crafts, games, and food. Visual arts projects range from painting, sculpture, jewelry making, crafts, kite or pinwheel making, and include the use of color, shapes and three dimensional material. |

Carol Lynn Mitchell received her BFA in Graphic Design in 1980 and has worked as a designer in a variety of companies, from Fortune 500 to independent startups. Her background includes digital and web design, which she currently does on a freelance basis. She received a teaching certificate for K-12 in 1985 and has taught art in public and private schools, as well as adult workshops and childrens' after school programs. Ms. Mitchell developed her own after school program call Art Kidz, which operated from 1997-2003. In 2007, she served as a Master Teaching Artist in the Young Audiences ArtWorks program, and joined the official Young Audiences Artist Roster shortly after the conclusion of the program.
