| PROGRAM DETAILS |

| Color, culture, symbolism, identity, feelings and dreams are what teachers will explore as they view and discuss a variety of Frida Kahlo's paintings and selections of Pre-Columbian art as well. Teachers learn about Kahlo’s life and how her experiences and heritage are reflected in her works. Art projects include Pre-Columbian designs, self-portraits and/or creating journals, depending upon age and grade level application. The inspiration of Kahlo's work provides many opportunities for creative teaching strategies. |
