| PROGRAM DETAILS |
 |
| Color, culture, symbolism, identity, feelings and dreams are what students explore as they view and discuss a variety of Frida Kahlo's paintings and selections of Pre-Columbian art as well. Students learn about Frida's life and how her experiences and heritage are reflected in her works. Student art projects include Pre-Columbian designs, self-portraits, and/or journals, depending upon the age and grade and a literary work that serves as a narrative or commentary for the visual art work. This program is also ideal for Spanish foreign language students studying Mexican culture. A single teaching space is necessary if multiple workshops are scheduled in a single day. |
