Members of 7 Mile Isle perform extensively in the area at many private and public venues as solo artists as well as collectively. 2002 marked the release of their compact disc of original music called "Just Now". They have played at numerous country clubs, yacht clubs, the West Side Market, street fairs, the Fox 8 Friday Morning Show and Parade the Circle. Many of the members are graduates of the acclaimed University of Akron Percussion Program and have been to Trinidad to learn about playing in a 100-piece “Steel Orchestra". This energetic, eclectic group plays songs from Africa- the roots of the steel drum- to Mozart, demonstrating the universality and appeal of this instrument.
